Hi, my son is studying in 2nd year of BTech with Computer Engineering in a college which is affiliated to Mumbai University. But I want to change the college. Because, the college is very far from our location. However, I don't want to change the university. So, is there any possibility?

1. The college and stream change is allowed after completion of first year of bachelor's degree in Engineering or technology.

2. You have mentioned that your son is already studying in second year of Bachelor of Technology then college change is not possible as per normal conditions.

However, college may accept if you have exceptional case.

There is no such possibility for any candidate who is already studying in second year of Bachelor of Technology course. As per general convention in different institutes or universities of India, college change is allowed once a candidate pass first year and before pursuing second year.

The only left with you is to continue the course with same college or leave it completely and take admission in new college in first year again.

It is not possible for any candidate studying in second year of Bachelor's degree in Engineering to change college.

College change is allowed after first year only. Distance is not a major factor that college will take into account for change in college.

You, are eligible to change the college affiliated with the same university in 2nd year of B.Tech course.

So, if you want to do so kindly visit the college in which you want to take admission along with your current college for detail information about the required procedure.

It is possible to change the college in 2nd year of B.Tech course but only in affiliated college of the same university and with the consent of the concerned college.

You will only get admission in the another college if your present college offer you transfer certificate and the next college accept your admission.

No change of college is permitted after completion of 2nd year of B.Tech course.
