Sorry to say that Diploma candiadte are not eligible for IPS exam.Only graduate persons are applicable for IPS exam.

If your graduation course is approved by UGC then you are eligible for IPS exam otherwise not.Details about IPS exam is given below.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.IPS is selected through Civil Service Exam in every year.

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be citizen of India.

So you can try for graduation course also follow the pattern the syllabus.So every time your focus should be in this exam.

no after diploma in engineering you are not eligible to appear in IPS examination. to become IPS you have to appear in civil service examination. for civil service examination eligibility criterion is candidates should have minimum of graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized institution and also candidates should have age between 21 to 30 for general category candidates to appear in civil service examination. there are some relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates.

but diploma in engineering is not a graduation course. it is a course of pattern 10+3. so as you are not graduate so you are now not eligible for civil service examination. if you want to appear in civil service examination then now you have to take admission in any graduation course. you may go for graduation in engineering B.Tech or B.E. you may take admission in B.Tech through lateral entry examination directly in second year. it will save your one year. you may also take admission in general graduation B.Sc with honors in a subject which you like the most. then also after your graduation you will be eligible for civil service examination.

civil service examination is conducted by UPSC. there are two examination in civil service.
1. Civil service preliminary examination(3days)
2. Civil service main examination(21Days).

if you can clear the civil service preliminary examination then only you will be eligible for civil service main examination. there are two optional subject in civil service main examination. there is a list of subject you have to choose two subject from them according to your interest and you have to give examination on that two subject at your civil main examination. generally candidates choose their optional subjects according to their branch of study. to get more information about civil service examination visit UPSC official website http://www.upsc.gov.in

My friend you want to go for IPS exam..

Which is conducted by UPSc every year. To appear in that exam , one must have fulfill some eligibility criteria first.

Eligibility for IPS exam:-

1.Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade.

2.Candidate should not have any pending backlogs during graduation.

3.Candidates age should be in between 21-30 years.
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

4.candidate must be a citizen of India.

5.Candidate must be physically fit.

These are the eligibility criteria you need to fulfill.
As you have done diploma , then wright now you are not eligible for IPS exam, but after completion of your graduation course you can go for IPS exam.

UPSC(Union Public Service Commision) conducts entrance for IPS.

Eligibility criteria for IPS exam is that you must have minimum graduation degree and you age should be 21-30 year.

You have passed Diploma so you are not eligible for IPS entrance exam.for IPS exam you have to passed graduation degree.

For your information IPS exam consists two papers-

Preliminiary Exam
Secondary exam.

After clearing preliminiary exam you are eligible for secondary exam.
