Quote:
If your age is 45 years, then you can only apply for Lectureship post, because there is no upper age restriction to apply for lectureship. If your aim is to become Lecturer in some top colleges/universities then please apply for NET Examination. NET stands for National Eligibility test and this examination is Conducted by UGC, Twice in a year and the examination is conducted in June and December Every year. For this year June NET Examination notification was already published and if you have missed the chance then please wait for December NET Examination Notification. To apply for NET Examination you have to complete your Post graduate degree course and if you have scored minimum 55% Marks in your Post graduation then you are eligible for NET. The notification of December NET Examination will be Published soon in the month of October. Eligible candidates may fill the application form online only. So, please wait for NET Examination Notification and then apply for this examination. Please do not worry because it is no where mentioned that only regular candidates are eligible for NET. If your college/University is UGC Recognized then you are eligible to apply for NET Examination. Sure you are eligible to take the NET exam. Post graduates i.e. even correspondence students who have studied from a recognised institute can appear for the exam. This is provided they have secured over 55% during post graduation. There is no age limit to appear for the exam. You must select commerce subjects while preparing for the exam.
