I have done msc in biotechnology. I want to do phd on topic like social issues(problems).is it possible.if possible ,from where i can pursue?how?i m living in panchkula (haryana)? Can someone please provide me the information soon as possible?

Candidate who has completed a Master's degree in the subject or field with at least 55% marks in aggregate or has qualified the National Eligibility Test(NET) conducted by UGC may apply for admission for the Ph.D degree at any time during the academic year for pursuing his/her research work under the guidance of supervisor approved by the university. Every applicant is expected to attach Master's degree marks along with application form. Every candidate will have to appear for Research Entrance Test (RET) which is conducted by individual university offline or online mode as per their university norms.

Following are the list of Colleges where you can apply for Ph.D in social work:

- Bharathidasan university, Tiruchirapalli

- Saurashtra university

- Dr. B.R Ambedkar university

- Jaipur National University

- Loyola College

- Mangalore University etc.

# in India, the Ph.D is completed through three tiered system i.e. firstly, undergraduate course, secondly graduate course and finally by postgraduate degree .

# Please note that it is not possible to get admission in Ph.D without any entrance examination. As per the guidelines of UGC, no any UGC recognised university offer admission in Ph.D without entrance examination.

# Few points regarding Ph.D programme are:

* In order to be eligible for Ph.D programme, one must have completed master degree in concerned subject.

* As per UGC guideline, now there must be entrance examination for making admission for Ph.D.

* After the admission in Ph.D programme, one must have to go for some course work for requisite credits.
