You can apply for various entrance exams like NET/SLET/JRF which are conducted on national level for getting admission in Ph.D program. Those who have any one of these qualifications need not have to appear for any other entrance exam. If you don't qualify any of these exams then you have to appear for entrance exam which are mainly conducted by the University.

4. IGNOU, http://ignou.ac.in

5. BHU, http://bhu.ac.in
