Is it possible to study MBBS after completing B.Tech?

I always aspired to became a doctor. But due to some problems I went for a B.Tech degree. I had taken Physics, Chemistry and Math in 12th. So, is it possible for me to study MBBS after B.Tech? Right now I am a student of B.Tech 1st year.

It is not possible as because you have completed 12th from Maths as main subject.
For medical stream it is compulsory to have Biology as main subject in 12th. That is why it is not possible in any way to pursue MBBS.

No, you are not eligible to appear for NEET examination as per your qualification.

NEET is conducted for admission in MBBS course. The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with minimum 50%.

So, you are not eligible to appear in examination.

The full form of MBBS is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

Admission to MBBS and BDS course in different medical colleges is given on basis of marks in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

Eligibility criteria:

1. PCB subjects in 12th is necessary to apply for this exam.

2. Age limit is 17-25 years.

If you have not studied Biology in 12th and secured minimum of 50% marks in 12th then you can not apply for NEET exam and pursue MBBS course.

It is possible if you have required qualification to apply for competitive entrance exam of MBBS course. The competitive entrance exam for MBBS course is National Eligibility cum Entrance test.

The academic qualification required for this exam is 12th with PCB subjects and minimum of 50% marks. Only candidates who have studied PCB subjects can apply for NEET exam. The age criteria is 17-25 years.

You can pursue MBBS course if you have required qualification.

Sorry, to say that you are not eligible to study MBBS course after completion of your B.Tech course. To be eligible to pursue MBBS course, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Biology, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a Government recognised board. Since, you have not pursued your 12tj standard with PCB stream, you are not eligible to apply for Admission to MBBS course.

MBBS refers to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and same is an undergraduate medical degree course of five and a half years ( including one year of internship ) after completing which one heads towards becoming a doctor.

Further, the minimum education required for pursuing MBBS degree course is a higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks in PCB group subjects from a recognized board. Marks relaxation upto 10% is allowed for reserved category candidates.

Also, for pursuing MBBS degree course from any medical college of India you need to qualify entrance examinations like NEET, AIIMS MBBS entrance examination and JIPMER MBBS entrance examination.

** As per my knowledge, you are not eligible to get admission in MBBS course after completing B.Tech course.

** For MBBS course candidate must have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board.

** For B.Tech course candidate should have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics so that after completing B.Tech course you are not eligible to get admission in MBBS course.
