Dear Aspirant,

Common Law Admission Test is the entrance exam for applying for the Law Courses.

Basically the Law course is of two types:

3 Years Degree

5 Years Degree

Courses Offered in the Law :
  • LL.B-UG
  • LL.M-PG

Many more departments of courses are available in the law.

We can do undergraduate and postgraduate.

After 12th we can do the UG course. For that you need to write the clat Exam.

After UG you can do the PG course i.e Master of Law (LL.M.)

All the best for your future endeavor's.

Any more Queries.

The best option is to study law after 12th instead of after completing graduation. After 12th if you apply for the integrated LLB course, it would take 5 years to complete Law course. However if you decided to choose the path of first completing graduation and then LLB, it would take 6 years.

By choosing first option, you can save one year therefore I will definitely recommend you to apply for the integrated LLB course. There is no difference between the 5 years LLB course and the 3 years LLB course in terms of merit.

The only difference is that integrated course includes the subject of graduation course like BA, BBA etc. therefore there is no need to do graduation for this one. The 3 years course requires candidate to first complete the graduation.

To apply for the BA LLB course you will have to appear for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). It is conducted once in a year. You are definitely eligible to appear for this exam.

Eligibility

1. You should have completed 12th standard.

2. Minimum of 45 percent marks in graduation.

3. SC and ST need 40 percent marks.

4. Your age should be less than 20 years to apply.

5. SC/ST should be less than 22 years.

6. There is no relaxation for OBC.

Yes, you can apply for LLB after 12th. You may either choose BA LLB or BBA LLB five year integrated undergraduate program. You need to give the entrance examination for getting admission. Every college conducts their own entrance examination or they give admission on merit ―based.

And you can also apply for exams like CLAT and LSAT. These tests also provide admission to the tip 17 university of law in India. And the eligibility to appear in the exam is 12th passed with 50% only.

Some of the carrer prospect are:

Corporate lawyer, advisor in MMC, civil service, army, tax consultant, advocate, judge in top courts.etc.

These are the best colleges for law in India:

1- National Law School of University Bangalore.
2-National Law College New Delhi
3-NALSAR University Of Law Hyderabad.
4-National Law University Jodhpur.
5-National Law Institute of Bhopal.

Wish you all the best for your future.

The course of LLB is divided into six semesters in most of the law universities and admission to the same is based on entrance exams like CLAT, LAWCET.

Duration and eligibility : 3 years if you have completed graduation with 55% percentage.5 years if you have passed 12th with above 50% and want to pursue ba/llb or bsc/llb.

The age of student should be more than 17yr. And there is not any upper limit of age .

Course fees:20,000 to 2 lakh

These are some best colleges for LLB in India:

(1)National Law School of India University, Bangalore
(2)Law faculty, University of Delhi.
(3) National Law University,Jodhpur.
