Braja Mohan Thakur Law College has permanent affiliation to Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University and it is also approved by the Ministry of Human Resource of the Government of Bihar. The college is also recognized by University Grants Commission under sec. 12 (B) and 2 (F) in the year 1991. The college has permanent approval from the Bar Council of India to run law courses. Recently, the college has received Autonomous status as well.

Courses and their structure:

The college is offering Bachelor of Law, which extends for a period of three years and the Bihar Government’s Ministry of Human Resources and the University Grants Commission has duly approved this degree. The college is also offering a 5-year integrated program and the duration of this course is five years divided into two parts. The first part is called as Pre-law course and the second part is called as professional teaching and training in law. In the second and third year of the second part, the students will be given practical training.

Admission procedure:

For getting admission to the three-year LLB course in the college, the candidate must have completed degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 45% of marks. The percentage of mark required for SC/ST and girl candidates is a minimum aggregate of 41% of marks in the degree course. The integrated course is meant for candidates who have completed their higher secondary education and hoping for a career in law.

Infrastructure:

The campus of the college is spread over three acres of land and it includes several facilities like library, sports facilities, guest room, playground, quarters for staff, womens’ hostel and a majestic dignified auditorium. This is one of the best auditoriums in the city.
