i m studying in T.y B.sc zoology .Am i eligible for comman entrance exam of biotechnology jnu?what's the procedure?and which book should i refare for study?

As per JNU guidelines, canddiates who are yet to appear in the final examination of their bachelor degree programme are eligible to appear in the entrance examination conducted by the university. Application of such candidates will be taken into cinsideration for admission only after they secure a minimum of 55% marks in the final year examination.
Selection of candidates for admission will be based on their performance in the entrance exam conducuted by the university.

The application form can be obtained through post from
The Section Officer (Admissions),
Room No. 28, Administrative Block
Jawaharlal Nehru University
New Delhi-110067,

Candidate will need to send a demand draft of Rs.260 drawn in favour of “Jawaharlal Nehru University” payable at New Delhi, along with the application request.

yes, you are eligibile for the entrance exam for biotechnology of jnu since you are BSc zoology .for entrance exam you have get the application form for the entrance of jnu.you can check in the university website when the exam is going to scheduled.there you can find the procedure.for the preparation you have to be thorough with cell biology,genetics,zoology botany,biochemistry,microbiology,atleast the basics of all these subjects and you can refer the 12th and 11th std physics and chemistry.books you can refer bsc texts on cell biology biotechnogogy dubey,B.d singh,biochemistry by sathyanarana etc.

There are a number of coaching institutes which makes preparation of JNU Biotechnology exam you can join them.
You should cover whole of the graduation syllabus.
If you have 10+2 maths knowledge it will help as there is complusory questions from maths.
The exam is held in may.
You can even appear for IIT JAM exam

The eligibility criteria for appearing at the biotechnology common entrance test is: the candidate must have passed the bachelor's degree in pure science or other equivalent degree courses ,with at least 55% marks.

The exam is generally held in the month of May.

To receive the application form of the exam by post ,candidates should send their request only to the section officer (Admissions), room no 28, Administrative block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067, along with a bank draft of Rs.260/
