Re: In which PSU's can I get after scoring less than 65%?
Hi
PSU's are the Public Sector Undertaking companies which function under the government of India. So every year these PSU's have to recruit new engineers in their company for which every PSU used to take or organize separate entrance examinations. Anybody who cleared it had to go through a personal + technical interview and then he/she could be well placed in the PSU with a handsome package and other benefits. So in India government jobs are always favored. But now from 2012, most of the PSU's have decided that they would recruit candidates based on their GATE score. GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. This exam is held by the IIT's every year in the month of February to select students for the various M.Tech programs in the IIT's across the country. So you have to sit for this exam if you want to get selected in any of the PSU's as this year onwards most of the PSU's would select candidates on the basis of GATE score. They would be called for Interview and then only employed if passed. Let me tell you, that GATE performance is a criteria which holds 90% of the selection chances. So yes you can get selected in any of the PSU's, provided you hold good knowledge, even if you have got less than 65% doesn't matter. Hope this helps All the best Regards RANJEET |

You can try for Engineer trainee position in firms like GAIL, SAIL, or BHEL. RITES, HPCL, etc considers candidates who have scored at least 60% marks in engineering. Selection in these firms is done on the basis of GATE score. Your age must fall somewhere between 28 and 30 years. Detailed information can be collected from the job notification of the concerned PSU.
