Organization Profile:

India is a nation which has Indian Ocean on both sides of it with or substantive seaborne trade. Our island territories situated on our Western and Eastern seaboards are at considerable distances away from the mainland. Indian Navy has consciously taken the difficult route of indigenisation in consonance with the national endeavour towards self-reliance. The Navy embarked upon a programme for indigenous construction of ships and development of major sub systems, sensors and weapon systems with the help of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Defence Public Sector Understandings (PSUs).

Job Profile :

Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I (equivalent to Subedar Major) with pay scale of Rs 9300-34800 plus Grade Pay @Rs.4800/- Plus MSP @Rs. 2000/- plus ‘X’ Group Pay @Rs. 1400/-plus DA. Opportunities for promotion to commissioned officer also exist for those who perform well and qualify the prescribed examinations.
 
Eligibility Condition: unmarried male Indian citizens and they shouls meet up visual, physical standards set by the organisation.

Educational Qualification : 

The candidate must have a three years Diploma with minimum 50% marks in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Aeronautical/ Ship Building/ Instrumentation/ Metallurgical Engineering from a Govt. recognised polytechnic/ Institute.
 
Age limit: Candidates should have been born between: 01 Aug 1988 and 31 Jul 1992 (Both dates inclusive).
 
Pay Scale:

The Basic Pay Band is Rs.5200-20200. In addition they will be paid Grade Pay @Rs.2000/- plus MSP @Rs. 2000/- plus ‘X’ Group Pay @Rs. 1400/- plus DA. Physical Standards:

Selection Process: 

Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations.
