Re: Which is the qualification required for Journalism?
Journalism is all about practical skills which must posses. Its more important than the theoritical knowledge.
TO become a journalist its not necessary to become a graduate. If you have the right skills and knowledge then you can fulfill your dream of becoming a journalist. It doesnt mean ofcourse that you must not have academic excellence. Some of the newsrooms ask for practical skills rather than the academic performance since in journalism its all about how you do the work practically. It depends on the editors on what basis they want to hire. However a degree in journalism is a necessacity nowadays since everone is asking for a degree |

Dear friend,
Journalism is of 2 types on the basis of media 1.print journalism includes news papers, magazines and journals. 2.Electronic journalism Working for radio, television and the web journalism is a prestigious job. They assist in developing the nation. basic qualifications: bachelors degree or post graduate degree in journalism or mass communications additonal course work, specialized training,or experience or field work or internship may increase the opportunities. Re: Which is the qualification required for Journalism?
Basically along with the qualification you need to have the right skills. You need to be sharp and need to have the talent to express what is in your mind to the audience. It would be good if have a minimum of graduation to pursue this career.

Re: Which is the qualification required for Journalism?
Completion of 10+2 or equivalent is the eligibility to study journalism at undergraduate level. That is the bachelors degree.Very few institutions provide this study at bachelors level.
Diploma holders are equivalent to 10+2.But ITI is not equivalent to 10+2,So you are not eligible. |

Re: Which is the qualification required for Journalism?
Hi,
Anyone wanting to work as a journalist is likely to find that practical skills are every bit as important as formal qualifications. You do not have to be a graduate, for example, although the increasing number of young people embarking on some form of higher education in recent years has meant that most people entering the profession are now graduates. |
