In recession, what's the options after b.tech degree in computer science?
hi! i am doing b.tech from computer science department. at present the software market is down. so i wanted to know what should i do to make my career better... At present i am in second year. should i start preparing for something from now. And what should i do after b.tech???/

dont worry,market is heeling.
course like embedded system design,advance certificate in software application,robotics etc will be better for good job profile. all these courses are offered by CDAC. |

dont worry you are in 2nd year now,and within two years market again boost up so need not to worry about your carrier,but keep update yourself with the languages,do certification in languages.all the best

Talented ones are always wanted everywhere no matter if its undergoing recession and moreover the market will not sustain as such and it is leaping now so dont worry try to shine well in whatever stream you choose all the best.

during recession time the best thing you can do is to increase your education qualification so that as soon as the recession is over you will be getting a good job...........

Well this degree has value every where in engineering field so don't deviate from your path and be faith on you and your study after some time IT field will become better.Well you can appear for the GATE for further study in M.Tech.

don't worry about the recession ,it and computer science both are fast recovering.
now india has become self dependent rather than depending on america.so better you be in your field and the best thing you can do in this time is to go for higher education and wait for the best time to come again. and if are so worried then you can switch over to other sectors like : banking and insurance fashion technology defense career |

i suggest you to go for higher studies like m.tech or you can go for MBA.doing this it will add more qualification on your profile and increase the chances of not getting affected by the recession.

if you go for higher studies after your b.tech like for some management course or m.tech then it will be more helpfull for you to assure your job during this recession also.

computer work is a staff function like an accountant. so, what if your own sector is down, every other sector needs computer experts as analyst, engineers and programmers...
this depression and boom is a part of a cyclic phenomenon and until you will pass. i hope that your market will bounce back to pre-2008 level. you may also prepare for bank PO,bank IT officers and other governement posts....The future is propitious and i hope your face will be all smile when you will retire from your college. |

i suggest you go through higher studies , if you do not
select in your campus selection ... so in final year you go through double option if you do not get job then prepare for CAT or GATE in final year... good luck.. |

you should happy to listen that the recession time is going out....... again software market kept in his own position...... if you are a 2nd year student than its a very ......good thing about you ....... because when you passed out after two years.......... than software market position is also in its .....own position so don't worry about it good luck |

dear friend, dont worry about recession, you can go for m-tech if u want to specialise ur field, or go for mba if u have interest in management or for upsc if u have guts to clear IAS,IES...............

now a days computer software area is down so there is a other option after B.tech is MBA because MBA is the evergreen area in market because there is a need of MBA increasing day by day so this is the best option
