Re: Reference books for civil services examination for each subject
In simple words for upsc you have to revise text books of all subjects starting from 8th standard history geography science .. everything(ncrt is must)
then you move on to newspapers :: 3 daily The HINDU THE Times of India etc. especially editorials, ... you should also practice rewriting them in you own words in different formats like points ,essay argument ,counter argument etc. for current affairs reading comprehensive magazines like chronocle csr youjna is must. here you also get excerpts of real interviews of IAS IPS .. i.e. successful people and writeups from veterans. This year onwards there is going to be CSAT.. ie aptitude test so you should enroll with time, career launcher etc. You should also buy yearbooks such as Manorama, CSR yearbook etc. Additionally 1.An Introduction to the Constitution of India D.D.Basu 2.Perspectives on Indian Constitution Edited by Subash Kashyap 3.An Evolution of Indian Economy I.C.Dhingra 4.Good School Atlas:Oxford 5.Monsoon Asia Charles Farro 6.Mental Ability – Quantitative Apitude by R.S. Aggarwal Guides 1. Tata Mc Graw Hill 2. Spectrum 3. Unique etc. also visit::http://www.iaspapers.info/2009/06/18...ry-examination |
