Requirements to apply for CDS recruitment for BSc(Biotechnology) student?
Hi Sir/Madam, I am studying BSc course in Biotechnology Honours. I want to apply for CDS. I just want to know about the requirements for applying in CDS recruitment. Please tell me about the requirements as soon as possible.

You are eligible to appear for CDS examination
It is conducted by UPSC. The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed minimum bachelor degree qualification. The age limit is 19-25 years. You have to qualify in written and SSB for final selection. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

CDS is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted for selection as an officer in defence service.
The required discipline and age limit varies with different wing. So, you are eligible for selection in Indian Army and OTA. Examination is conducted in two stages. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

CDS stands for Combined Defence Services. CDS examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year for recruitment to Defence academies like:
>>Indian Military Academy. >>Indian Naval Academy. >Officer's Training Academy. >>Indian Air Force Academy. The age criteria for IMA is 20-24 years and that for OTA is 20-25 years. B.Sc Biotechnology candidates can apply for CDS exam for IMA and OTA respectively. |

The full form of CDS is Combined Defence Services.
1. Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology candidates can apply for CDS exam for Indian Military Academy and Officer's Training Academy. 2. The age criteria for CDS exam is 20-24 years for IMA and 20-25 years for OTA. There are two stages of this exam; Written Test. Service Selection Board. |

Having completed your B.Sc in Biotechnology Honors degree course, you are eligible to apply for CDS (Combined Defense Services) examination to join its Air force Academic (AFA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), and OTA (Officer's Training Academy) as far as the educational requirement for these wings are concerned.
Apart from the educational qualification, you need to be an Indian citizen with your age lying within 20 years to 24 years in case of AFA and IMA wings while 20 years to 25 years in case of OTA. You are eligible to join defence service after B.Sc in Biotechnology.
CDS examination is conducted for final selection as an officer. You can apply for the OTA or Indian Army. The common eligibility for OTA and Indian Army is :- Bachelor degree in any discipline. Age limit 19-25 years. So, you can apply for it and after qualifying in both stage will become eligible for final selection. |

Combined Defence Services is a graduate level examination for joining Defence Services. The eligibility criteria for CDS exam:
~~Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. B.Sc Biotechnology candidates are eligible for IMA and OTA. ~~The age criteria for CDS exam is 20-24 years for IMA and 20-25 years for OTA. Both unmarried male and Female candidates are eligible to apply for CDS recruitment. |
