I am a final year student of B.Sc (computer science) from Raipur (Chhattisgarh).I want to know that what is the scope of M.Sc (computer science). Does this course offer a good carrier scope? What kinds of job options are available after this course?
I am also preparing for Bank P.O. exams. I would also like to know that which is the best option after B.Sc –MCA, MBA or M.Sc.?

Post graduation in Computer Science will help you to improve career prospects in IT field. After M.Sc degree in Computer Science, you can try for jobs as Senior Programmer, Assistant Professor etc. Career opportunities also exist in areas of Networking, Database Management, Software Testing, etc. MCA and M.Sc Computer Science degree has equal scope in the present job market. If you are interested in administrative jobs in the IT field, you can go for MBA degree. You can select the course according to the area in which you are interested to work.

SCOPE OF MSC COMPUTER SCIENCE AFTER BCA .

Jobe available range from System programmers, Systems analysts, application programmers etc. The range is wide and scope high. You could look at various companies such as:

HP
Wipro
IBM
Compaq etc.
The scope of MSC in IT field have good opportunities in india and also in abroad. you can get good jobs in MNC’s.After finishing your M.sc you could go for a professional degree like MCA or do an MBA. Both have many opportunities in technology and other industries. To guide you more specifically, however, we will need to know what your short term and long term career goals are, what options you are considering and what you consider to be your biggest strengths at work. With this qualification you may consider jobs in application, development or system software.

I am final year bsc computer science student in one of the affilicated college of MU. I have decided to do msc in computer science but many say that there is no scope for msc in cs because in any companies the preference wil be for those who studied mca is it true? What is the scope of msc computer science please let me know. Wheter this has scope out of states also?

MSc and MCA are both good courses.
However, with increasing competition, company prefer candidates with specialization.
MCA is a specialized course related to computer application.
Since its an IT era with more jobs in IT sector, MCA candidates are easily placed.
It doesnt mean MSc candidates dont find jobs however, scope for MCA is good.

You can also go for MBA and increase your option for getting job.
