I've just completed B.Sc.I(Electronics, physics and maths) from Kurukshetra university. some people advise ma to learn forein language at the university. I want to know whether I should do certificate course in Foreign language(French or Germany) or not? If yes, then should I go for French or german? Or is all this a just a waste of time?

German
The German language has a lot of cogantes (Words that look similar and mean the same thing) which makes learning German easy

it wud be gud if u do any f d abv languages ..bcz it gives u an edge in ur interviews !!!!

u can do either

certificate course
diploma
advanced diploma

depending upon d level of interest.....from delhi university

or u cn go for sum private institutes !!!

dear increasing your knowledge in any field even language is never a waste of time...
look french is quite similar to english and german's language is one which needs to be continued as much time as you can since it has a huge grammar.....
keeping in mind your engineering stream japanese language would be profitable for you since the electronics are manufactured in japan....

You didn't mention the purpose of learning a foreign language.
Higher studies abroad
Foreign language is helpful to you when you are planning to study abroad.
For example if you are planning for higher studies in Germany then knowing Germany language will help you to deal with the germans very easily and you will be comfortable.


Career in foriegn language
If you are planning to make a career in foreign language(as a teacher or translator) then study from a good institute.

knowing a foreign language may give you an advantage when you are applying for any job in MNCs.

it is good and may be useful to know a foreign language but not necessary as far as you are in india

Learning a new language is also a good thing to do. Between German and French, it is very difficult to say which is good. That is because we cannot compare two languages. French has become common now a days.German is slowly catching up. The question whether you have to do it or not depends completely on you. Do it only if it interests you. It will never be a waste of time.

i m going 2 do engineering from mechanical and automation branch........so plz can any1 tell me which foregin language should i prefer except english........

Actually i am a student of arts and i dont have any knowledge of technical however i wanna get a job in india and make my career after learning a foreign language so i am confused which one to learn German,French or Spanish one more thing i have working experience in BPO so plz suggest me which one shall i choose

learning which foreign language would be beneficial if i would want a job in the field of commerce in Dubai an the US respectively?? and would choosing a job in the field of commerce be beneficial in the above countries.....??? really confused.. HELP!
