Hi Friend.....................

Hi,

Specialisation to be decided on your ability and interested area. As per the market situations you can go for marketing and finance which is booming in the market. If you are intrested in the hr then you can choose hr as well. Again your previous graduation course also will add value as per your specialisation. So think from all the angles and then choose correct specialisation. Then you can get better job in the market after completing your MBA. You can even choose IT if you are from engineering back ground. So think and take the good one which will benefit you always in your further life.

It is not possible to distinguish any stream as best in MBA. Most important thing is to pursue the course from any of the top B Schools in India. Finance specialization allows MBA holders to join as Cash Managers, Credit Manger, Bankers, Finance Officers, and so on. Marketing specialist can have high pay packages in the role of Brand Manager, Sales Manager, Project Manager, Market Research Analyst, Marketing Manager, etc. Operations, IT, HR, etc are some other leading streams in MBA.

The Master of Business Administration is 2 years course. You should have completed graduation to apply for it. MBA is a management course offered in various specializations such as:

Finance

Banking

Economics

Marketing

Human Resources

Retail Management

IT

Operations

Healthcare

Hospitality

There are several other specializations of MBA. However in my opinion Finance, Marketing, Human Resources and IT are the best that you should consider. I would have also suggested Retail Management but despite FDI in Retail, no major foreign retail player has come to India and it is unlikely that any would make a entry soon.

Therefore you should consider the specializations I have mentioned above. Out of these Finance is the one I will recommend to you. If you are not interested in Finance then go for Human Resources. Keep IT as the last option since there has been some slowdown in jobs in IT sector.

You will have to go through entrance exam to get the admission for MBA. The Common Admission Test is the most preferred exam for obvious reason that it is accepted by the Indian Institutes of Management.

CAT Eligibility

1. You must have a bachelor's degree.

2. Minimum of 50 percent marks in graduation.

3. The requirement is 45 percent for SC/ST.

If you are not eligible for CAT for percentage reason then consider appearing for the Management Aptitude Test. This test has no percentage requirement therefore anyone with graduation degree can appear for it.
