Yes, of course. Both are different.

Whereas all india pre medical test is for getting medicine seats only at 8 AIIMS - All India Institute Of Medical Science institutes in India. But few other colleges also accept aiims aipmt score card. AIIMS Paper Pattern: Duration: 3.5 hours Total Questions - 200 Multiple choice and Reasoning assertion type Physics - 60 Chemistry - 60 Botany and Zoology - 60 GK - 20 Each incorrect response will get a score of -1/3 (minus-one-third). Each correct response will get a score of 1 mark and No credit will be given for the questions not answered. More than one response will be treated as wrong answer and negatively marked. |

Re: Is state PMT test different from AIIMS exam?
Yes state PMT ( Para Medical Test ) is different from the AIIMS ( All India Institute of Medical Science ) .
Through state PMT you are eligible to get admission in the state medical institute which is recognized from the state board . Whereas through the AIIMS entrance examination conducted by AIIMS you are eligible to get admission in the AIIMS situated in different state of India to pursue your higher studies . I will suggest you to go with one more entrance examination which offers you more chance to get admission in many other government colleges . For this you have to give the AIPMT examination which is conducted by the CBSE . There are not more difference in the eligibility for all the examination . To get more information visit at www.aiimsexam.org . And for state PMT visit ay state board website . You can get information of AIPMT from cbse.nic.in . |

Re: Is state PMT test different from AIIMS exam?
Yes, State Pre Medical test are a bit different from All India Institute of Medical Science entrance exams.
But the questions asked are mainly from Physics, Chemistry, Biology. In AIIMS, questions from general knowledge is also asked. State PMT is conducted to get admission in government medical colleges of the respective state. Through AIIMS exam, you can get admission in any one of the AIIMS institute located in India. Any candidate who has done 10+2 from PCB subject group can apply for both the exams. Your minimum age on the 31/12 of the year of admission must be 17 years. From this year AIIMS will be computer based test. |
