which stream i should choose in 11 standard to become ias

you can choose any stream according to your interest....... ias requires being a graduate and even in the exam you can choose the subject of your choice....... its just the gk and current affairs part which you need to prepare on your own and you dont have to be much stressed about it just read daily newspaper and try to make it a habit... also you can refer to some good general knowledge books or refer to manorma ......

it is not necessary that one can become an IAS which is Indian Administrative Officer by giving the civil services examination conducted by Union public service commission just by taking subjects closely related to those of IAS exam .

BUT yes,if you really have just one goal of becoming an IAS officer then you need to take ARTS branch because there is a main subject there known as

~the INDIAN History

~world's history

~geography

which are closely related to that of arts subject.

but still its not something that you can choose only arts you can choose commerce and its subjects would be there too. like economics.in case you want to take non-medical hence you will have subjects like physics,maths there ....


so, all depends on your interest....
