Dear friend
Spectacles is not allowed in Air Force but to some extent it is allowed in Naval Academy. In Naval academy the standard is Uncorrected without glass 6/9 Corrected with glass 6/6. I would suggest you to go through the NDA advertisement carefully and then consult with your doctor about your eligibility. Download the advertisement from the attachments. |

yes it is allowed in NDA exam but before filling form you need to specify your problem about your eye sight and its better if you attached some marked certificates of reputed doctor and when its come to SSB then there is problem in air force but ok with navy, army

Spectacles are not allowed in NDA at all. eye sight should be 6/6 with out spectacles. Though you can appear in written exam, but in medical exam they will drop you. Now a days eye sight is corrected by the lessor, so take advise from the doctors and go ahead. Apart from eye sight, some other measurements are as follows: (a) The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/disability which is likely in interfere with the efficient performance of military duties. (b) There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or under weight. The candidate should not be overweight or obese. (c) The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. (162.5 cms for Air Force) (d) Height and weight standards are given below : Height/Weight Standards for Army/Air Force Table-I Height in Cms. yes they are allowed to give exam but main thing is medical if u want to clear it, u should get rid of your problem by eating lots of juicy fruits and vegetables and i m confident that it will help u out..

Spectacles are not allowed for them those who are applying for IAF, Army and Navy at all, but it is allowed in Naval Academy and its tolerances is With Spectacles 6/6 and with out Spectacles 6/9. Other eligibility criteria are: Physical Standards : Candidates are advised to rectify minor defects/ailments in order to speed up finalization of medical examination conducted at the Military Hospital after being recommended at the SSB. The undermentioned ailments are considered, common minor ailments : Wax (Ears), Deviated Nasal Septum, Hydrocele/Phimosis, Overweight/Underweight, Under sized Chest, Piles, Gynaecomastia, Tonsillitis, Varicocele A candidate recommended by the Services Selection Board will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers. Only those candidates will be admitted to the academy who are declared fit by the Medical Board. Candidates declared unfit during Appeal Medical Board will be intimated about the provision of Review Medical Board. (a) The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/disability which is likely in interfere with the efficient performance of military duties. No its Not like that any candidate can Give NDA Examination. But Before Filling up NDA Forms with the subsection of Army , Air Force and Naval Academy, you must be according to the Medical Fitness.
You should be caused by any disablities even For air Force your Eyes must be 6/6 sight . So Go to www.upsc.gov.in For more Information about Medical Fitness. But if you are applying for Army Through NDA then you can Wear Glasses. (Only low power Glasses.) Good Luck. |

yes you are allowed to write the written exam but after you qualify the written exam you will be called for SSB where along with your physical standards your medical standards will also be checked and according to the SSB standards a candidate should have 6/6 with glass and 6/9 without glass

Spectales are not allowed for NDA but have another option that you can make a laser surgery and correct the power to 6/6. You can apply for the flying branch through NDA examination. The eligibility for the NDA exam is given below. Education Qualification A candidate should be 10+2 pass with physics and Maths for the Indian Air force. Those appeared in the 12th board examination are also eligible. Age Limit Candidate age should be between 16.5 to 19 years. NDA exam is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year.
Through this one can join into Military, Navy and air force Whether a student with spectacles will be allowed into NDA depends on the category he has opted for. In order to appear for air force and navy eye should be 6/6 |
