Re: Is studying Biology in 12th mandatory to appear in KCET?
No, biology is not mandatory to appear in KCET.
KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is conducted once in every year by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority). The eligibility requirements are as follows: - The candidate should be a citizen of India. - The educational qualification required is a 10+2 in mathematics as compulsory subject, physics, chemistry/ biotechnology/ biology or any related subject from any recognised board. - The minimum percentage required for general candidates is 45% in three subjects & 40% for reservation candidates. Since you have studied 12th with PCM you are eligible to apply & appear for KCET exam. For application forms & other details visit the official website of KCET. |

Re: Is studying Biology in 12th mandatory to appear in KCET?
KCET refers to Karnataka Common Entrance Test and the same examination is held by KEA ( Karnataka Examination Authority ) for offering admission in undergraduate technical, agriculture and medical degree ( Homeopathy and Indian medical science ) courses across various medical colleges of India.
Now as far as you are concerned about the compulsion of Biology as a subjects at Class 12th level academics for appearing in KCET, then for your information I would like to let you know that Biology is compulsory only for taking admission in medical degree courses and hence a student interested in taking technical degree course does not have to worry about taking Biology as a main subject at their Class 12th level academics. For more details regarding KCET you can refer to the link www.kea.kar.nic.in. |
