WHAT SUBJECTS ARE NEEDED FOR CLAT IN 11th & 12TH? The common eligibility criteria for CLAT UG programme is as follows, -> 50% more in 12th standard equivalent qualification from recognized board. -> 45 % in 12th for SC/ST/OBC and PWD. -> Should not be more than 20 years of age and 22 years of age for SC/ST candidates as of 1st July 2012. As per the eligibility criteria there is no specific subjects to be selected for 11th and 12th, you can opt for any subjects but you should score more than 50%. If you are sure that you are going to opt for CLAT then the best subjects to take will be in Commerce Streams and then go for B.Com and do LLB or after completing your 12th grade you can go for CLAT directly. I have also attached the detailed eligibility criteria of CLAT in this post for your reference.. check it out if needed. For more information about CLAT exam online CLICK HERE!!! Re: Which subjects are needed for CLAT in 11th and 12th?
Dear Friend,
There are no any specified subjects that you have to study for the Common Law Admission Test ( CLAT) . But you must have to fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria for the test : * You must have passed 12th with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized board. * Your age should lie in between 16-20 years if you belong to General Category. * There is also a relaxation in upper age of 3 years for students belonging to Reserved categories. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the above mentioned will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Which subjects are needed for CLAT in 11th and 12th?
CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test which is conducted by National Law Universities for integrated LLB course.
If your aim is to become lawyer, then you can choose any subjects in 11th and 12th. There is no specific criteria regarding the subjects for the law course. You can appear for Common Law Admission Test after finishing 12th. It will be necessary to provide all documents related to 12th standard at the time of applying. The course offered is integrated LLB course. The duration of this course is 5 years and not 3 years which is for the LLB course. The difference here is that integrated LLB course includes a bachelor degree like BA, BBA, B.Sc, B.Com etc. This is why the duration of the course is 5 years. On merit there is no difference in 5 years LLB and 3 years LLB. So you can apply for any. However for LLB you will first have to complete graduation. The best option is integrated LLB for which you must clear the CLAT entrance exam. CLAT Eligibility 1. Exam is open for Indian citizens. 2. Must clear 12th standard from recognized board. 3. Must have 45 percent marks in 12th standard. 4. SC/ST need to secure 40 percent marks. 5. The age limit is 20 years. 6. There is 2 years relaxation for SC/ST. |
