As such BHEL doesn't provide the exact topic wise syllabus for the exam because
the examination is considered to be based on standard course structure of various
engineering stream approved by UGC or AICTE.
So you should not worry about the syllabus.
You should cover all the core subjects which you have studies during your B.Tech.

The written test will consist of Multiple choice objective type questions.
The test contains question from Engineering Discipline and Higher Aptitude
covering areas like Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Logical thinking,
English usage, General Awareness etc.

There would be two sections of question paper;

1. Aptitude Test

2. Technical
a) General (Common for all)
b) Specialized field

A sample paper of BHEL for EEE stream is attached with this message.

The actual syllabus for BHEL is not published by the authority the main exam is for:

Actually BHEL has not declared any particular syllabus for the technical and aptitude test.

but for technical test , you can follow the syllabus of GATE exam.

and for aptitude test, no specific syllabus has been prescribed.

for that you have to follow the syllabus of other competitive exams..

Its very tough to attempt all the questions in BHEL exam because 240 questions are there (each containing 1 mark) and the time limit is 2hrs 30mins.

again negative marking is also there, so the exam is going to be very hard.

you should follow some books other than following other competitive papers, like:
