is there any test for color blindness in merchant navy

there is an test for color blindness in merchant navy and if you fail it you are not eligible to join merchant navy

Yes of course,you have to be medically fit in all respects,weather it is your eyes or any other parts of body all must function properly and must be healthy.

what is the sight limit required for merchant navy or should we have an perfect sight?

in merchant navy medical test eye site and colorblindness are the two major factor....
even if there is a point defect in your eye sight then you will be rejected....same is the colorblindness test......it is for those candidates who have cleared the eye sight teat.....
they will be showing you different colors on a screen and you have to very quickly answer for the color you saw..............
if there is a small defect then they give advise for laser operation....and then you will be eligible for it......

for cadet entry you need to have an eyesight of 6/6 in both eyes without any glasses.

and also they will take a colorblindness test called ishira test,if you fail in that test then you will be surely rejected.

there is no other special physical standard,just your eye should be perfect

my friend, the colour blindness test is very important in merchant navy, you have to medically fit to enter in merchant navy..................after clear this test you have get enter into merchant navy.

for joining merchant navy you should not be an color blind and its the reason why many of the people are not able to get into merchant navy

Yes you will have to face the Medical Fitness test....It is considered one of the important test in the defense related jobs....

And you must have 6/6 eyesight in your both the eyes...and you must have physically fit.All the best....

Yes there is colour blindess test in the merchant navy.They will show you a diary in which numerical digits will be written in some colour and it will displayed on other colour strip.You have to identify the numerical digit.
The number written in the file to be downloded is 25,If you are able to read this then you are not colour blind.

Of course there is a test for colour blindness in Merchant Navy.....
Once you clear that test, you are applicable for the Navy....
If you fail that test they recommend you a laser operation after which you are eligible...

Sir I have to apply for Electro Technical Officer .My eye sight is perfect but have little difficulty in recognizing different shades in few color, so does it so important for the job title to be color blind free? What i was informed that for Deck engineer it is very important.
I mean if i give a color blind test i will get 50% pass for sure with perfect eye sight.
