Hi everyone, I am interested to study MSc with Mathematics Honours in Banaras Hindu University. I would like to know about that is there any entrance exam for securing admission? Kindly let me know immediately.

For securing admission in Banaras Hindu University (BHU) to pursue M.Sc. in Mathematics degree course , you are required to qualify the BHU PET ( Postgraduate Entrance Test ) held by BHU once every year.

Further, to be eligible for admission in M.Sc in Mathematics degree course, you are required to have completed your graduation degree course with Mathematics as a main subject for all three years of your graduation degree from a recognized university. Also, you must have secured at least 50% marks in your graduation degree. Marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for OBC and PC category candidates while there is no such requirement in case of SC/ST candidates.

In order to get into M.Sc in Mathematics at Benaras Hindu University, it is mandatory to clear the BHU-PET entrance exam, dedicated to the students for the PG level. The examination is going to be for 2 hrs, in pen and paper. It is expected that BHU PET examination is going to be held in the month of May, 2019 for the upcoming session.
