Pass in 12th is the basic qualification to join army or railways. HSC passed candidates can join to army by qualifying NDA entrance exam. Age of the applicant must be between 16 1/2 and 19 years. In railways, HSC holders can try for TTR, clerk or apprentice jobs. Details regarding railway jobs can be collected from RRB portal.

You cam never expect a nice reputed job in Indian Railways or Army unless you have completed 10+2. Even you won't be eligible for any job unless you attain age of minimum 18 years.

You have to continue your studies at least up to 10+2 with any of the stream.
After completing 10+2 you would be eligible for various recruitment examinations like:

National Defence Academy (NDA) Examination which is conducted for recruitement in various posts in Indian Defence Forces including Indian Army.

Institute of Banking Personnal Selection (IBPS) Examination, which is for selection in urban and rural banking sector.
