Western Railway was established on 5th November, 1951. Western Railway serves the entire region of Gujarat, and some regions of Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh. Western Railway consists of six divisions each at Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Mumbai. The organization is serving the western coast of the country and it has many ports inclusive of Bhavnagar, Okha, Rozi, Bedi, Navlakhi, Pipavav, Mundra and Kandla ports. The suburban section of Western Railway extends from Churchgate to Dahanu via Virar including 38 stations. Western Railway now has 753 twelve car services and one 15 car service.
Job Profile:
Western Railway invites applications from eligible and interested Indian Ex-servicemen for filling up the post of Trackman/Gangman.

Pay Scale - Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs.1800
Eligibility:
Age Criteria – The age criteria for UR candidates is 18 to 33 yrs and it is 18 to 36 yrs for OBC candidates and 18 to 38 yrs for SC/ST.
Qualification - Ex-Serviceman who has retired after 15 years of successful service are eligible for the post. The candidates must have passed Army Class-I certificate or its equivalent. The candidate must be medically fit in order to get qualified.
Selection Process:
Medically fit candidates are selected for the post based on their qualification and experience. Western railway will not conduct written examination or interview or physical efficiency test.
