Western Railway was formed on 5th November, 1951 by merging Bombay, Baroda & Central India Railway (BB&CI) and Saurashtra, Rajputana & Jaipur State Railways. The sub urban section of Western Railway extends from Churchgate to Dahanu through Virar, including 38 stations. Western Railway owns the pride to introduce an exclusive Ladies Special Train between Churchgate and Virar. The Western Railway is a pioneer in implementing Train Management System (TMS) over its suburban section till Virar for providing real time information of train movement to commuters. It is one of the busiest railway networks in the whole country and is one among the 16 zones in the Railways in India.
Job Profile:
Western Railway invites applications from eligible and interested Indian Ex-servicemen for filling up the post of Helper - II / Khalas.
No. of posts - 266
Pay Scale - Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs.1800
Eligibility:
Age Criteria – 18 to 33 yrs for UR candidates, 18 to 36 yrs for OBC, 18 to 38 yrs for SC/ST.
Qualification - Ex-Serviceman who has retired after 15 years of successful service. The candidates must have passed Army Class-I certificate or its equivalent. The candidate must be medically fit in order to qualify.
Selection Process:
Medically fit candidates are selected for the post based on their qualification and experience. Western railway will not conduct written examination or interview or physical efficiency test.
