First of all any Graduate from a recognized University can apply for IPS Examination.

And you have to score top marks in the exam conducted by UPSC to get the IPS Officer post.

So if you are a BBA Graduate then start your preparation for Civil Services examination because the selection will be based on merit.

Age Limit:

General Category - 21 to 30 years

OBC Category - 21 to 33 years

SC/ST Category - 21 to 35 years

Selection Procedure:

-Preliminary Exam

-Mains Exam

-Interview

The number of attempts for General category is 4 and for OBC is 7 attempts.

For SC/ST category there is no such limit in attempts and they can appear until their age limit exceeds.

For IPS officer you have to be physically fit and should not be suffering from serious ailments.
