SNAP - Symbiosis National Aptitude Test

This exam is conducted by Symbiosis University, Pune and is a national wide entrance examination that is a gateway to admissions to MBA Programs in its groups of colleges. It is conducted every year in the month of December and hence the application processes start right from October. You have to be on the lookout for the forms to come out.

Please Click Here to go the Official SNAP website and know more.

Speaking of its eligibility, any graduate from a recognized college or institution can apply for this. The pattern of the exam is multiple choice and online and is one of the largest MBA entrances in India. The toughness level is moderate but the section of the paper that deals with current affairs and GK trouble a lot of students.

Passing marks for the last year SNAP are:

SIBM, Pune - 98+
SCHMRD, Pune - 96.5+
SIBM Bangalore - 95+
SIIB, Pune - 90+ and so on for the other colleges.

Since the exam is online, the passing marks cannot be predicted as it depends on how you perform in the exam in comparison to how others have performed as well.

MAT - Management Aptitude Test

On the other hand, MAT is conducted by AIMA, New Delhi. It is also a very renowned examination and is conducted 4 times in a year to ensure flexibility for the students. You may appear for it in the months February, May, September and December. It depends on you whichever month you fill up form.

The difficulty level of MAT is much easier than that of SNAP and the colleges that accept the MAT scores are also on the average side. No great college in India accepts MAT score and you may visit the website by Clicking Here to know more.

Again, note that you have to start applying for MAT with 2 months in hand as their application processes go on always due to more frequency of the exam.

MAT Cut offs are usually very high as the paper consists of 200 questions that are to be done in 120 minutes. If you can attempt about 120 questions with 85% accuracy, then you can easily get 95 percentile plus in this exam.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
