Universities offering correspondence course in commerce/business administration? Are these universities recognized by the government?
Dear Sir,
I want to do P.hd through distance education in commerce/Business administration. which universities are offering through correspondence. whether they are recognised by govt rgds jebakumar

Their are few university recognized by the UGE (union grant commission).You said that you want pursue commerce stream in correspondence in some university.
As you are interest in doing correspondence courses.to do you select good ranking for correspondence course university.otherwise certificate will not be valid.as you are doing correspondence,there will less value compare to regular candidates.So choose better university,which as recognized by UGC. THERE ARE SOME BEST UNIVERSITY FOR CORRESPONDENCE: -Ambedkar university-Andhra pradesh -Osmania university, Andhra pradesh -Indian institute commerce and trade -Sikkim manipal university -Nalanda open university,bihar -Indra gandhi open university -Annamalai university -

IGNOU is the one of the best open university for persuing P.hd.
IGNOU is recognized by UGC, DCE also. Other are PTU and SMU, these are also recognized. So in my opinion you should go with IGNOU.
