I have done B.E. in Chemical from a reputed college in year 1999. Presently, i am employed in Goverment department and working here from last 6 years. Actually i want to know age limit for M.Tech program in IIT, Delhi.

Dear friend you can give GATE exam only 2 years and this score card is valid for only 2 yrs. after giving exam...............

there is no any age is given for M.TECH,PH.D no any age criteria,if you want to take admission in any college then you can do M.TECH.........

but you can't take admission from GATE exam............

that's you can take admission from another way............

Candidate applying for the M.Tech course in IIT Delhi will
require the following eligibility criteria:

Minimum Eligibility:
B.Tech. / M.Sc. with CGPA 6.75 or 60% marks for general category category candidate with GATE
(a) 300 score for general category,
(b) 200 score for SC/ST category and 250 score for PH.

The selection will be based on the Written test and/or interview.

AGE LIMIT
There is no age limit for the M.Tech course. So you can apply for this
course at any age.

GATE is a well-known exam and infact a type of entrance exam for taking entry into M.Tech programmes. It is the best way to get entry into M.Tech programmes

Eligibility Criteria For M.Tech

Educational Qualification

•Atleast bachelor’s degree with atleast 60% or 6.75 for gradding system that is CGPS or SGPA.

•For getting entry into IITs you are required to get :

Although it is very difficult to predict the marks as it keep changing every

year but I am giving you the rough idea
(1)300 marks for general category students.

(2)There is a provision of relaxation in terms of marks for SC/ST candidates so you are needed to get atleast 250 marks.

AGE LIMIT FOR M.Tech

•There is no limitation in terms of age so age is not a problem but you can

face problem later at the time of recruitment so prefer to do this course

without so much year gap.

If You Are Interested To Apply For M.tech Course In IIT, Then I Will Suggest You There Is No Age Limit Eligiblity Criteria.

To Apply For M.tech Course In IIT, You Have To Qualify The GATE Examination.

So, If You have a 4 year Bacholar Degree OR Master Degree In Engineering, Then You Are Eligible To Apply For GATE Exams.


GATE Exams Eligiblity Criteria -

• 4 Year Bachelor Degree In Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture.

• Or Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications Or Equivalent.

• There Is No Limitation In Number Of Attempts In GATE Examination As Well As There Is No Age Limitation.

IIT takes admission for the course of M.Tech program from the GATE exam.
If your score in GATE exam is good then you can get a chance to take
admission in IIT for M.Tech course.

you will be happy to known that there is no age limit for applying in mtech course in IIT delhi.

to get there you have to clear out the GATE examination.

Hi,

For master degree courses generally there use to be no age limit in IITs as there is no age limit or no. of attempts limit to appear GATE examination.
It can't be said for all Indian colleges exclusively but for higher education the age limit is rarely seen.


If you are interested in Mtech then do a good preparation for coming GATE exam which you might appear because Mtech from IITs, IISc and NITs would really a be shining start on your Btech degree.

Also, you will get scholarships during your studies and a good job as well after the course completion.

GATE is the Gateway for M.tech in IIT's

As per my knowledge there is no age limit for appearing in this exam.

so you can write the exam whenever you want

but while taking admission into any one reputed institute like IIT or IISc they will ask the reason for Gap during personal interview then you must be able to orginal salary certificates and all if you did job these days..

and also there is no limit for no. of attempts in this exam.

No separate way will be there for doing M.tech ...the only way is through Gate..

There is no age limit for doing MTech.

Write gate exam, and quickly get Mtech.
But after MTech you need to face age limit problem in PSU examination and many other examination

sir for getting seat in iit's...is there any requirement of 10th & 12th marks as i have very meiserable marks in 10th & 12th but i have cgpa score of 8.35pts

I am studying in final year of dual degree programme(btech mtech) from andhra university.I wanted to do Mtech from IIT's.Am i eligible for the admission?If yes,what is the procedure.....can u please let me know.......
