The Scale of Pay for an SBI assistant is : 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/1-19300
The total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at
Metro like Mumbai will be around Rs. 14,177/- per month for Graduates inclusive of D.A.
and other allowances at the current rate. Allowances may vary depending upon the
place of posting.

SBI Assistant or Clerk's pay scale is Rs. 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500- 800/1-19300.

The total starting salary of a SBI assistant is around Rs.14500 per month inclusive of DA ( dearness allowance) which is at the moment 72 % of the basic salary for Graduates in a big city like Mumbai or Delhi.

The HRA varies for big cities and small cities hence in big cities you will get a little bit higher salary compare to small cities.

When you are appointed in SBI as Assistant you will be on 6 months probation period.Your performance will be evaluated during probation period and if you don't meet the standards of the bank then your probation period will be extended.

The age limit is 18 - 28 yrs.
There is a upper age relaxation for SC/ST & OBC candidates.

the starting basic salary for the SBI Assistant is from 7200/- to 1900/-.
but for being SBI assistant you must qualify SBI exam.
also you have to fulfill the basic minimum criteria for getting elligible for the SBI Assistant:
you must have completed your secondry and higher secondry education with good percentage.

also you must be minimum of 18 years and maximum of 28 year to sit for the entrance test.
