Sorry to say that as of now you are not eligible for IAS Entrance examination. as Diploma students are not eligible for IAS entrance examination.

IAS entrance examination officially called as Civil Service Examination. This examination is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).

The minimum Eligibility criteria for this examination are as follows.
->A candidate appearing for Civils should complete 21 years of age.
->Must contain a degree or its equivalent.

In your case

your diploma is not equal to degree so you have to definitely have a degree certificate before applying for Civil Service entrance examination.

Try to complete your Degree after doing diploma through different entrance examinations in to direct second years of bachelors depending upon your interest.

This is about your eligibility in IAS entrance examination

You dont have a degree yet. So, IAS is not an option available to you. So, your best bet now is to take a job.

Or, alternatively, you can take up a correspondence course or a software course that you can use to improve your job prospects.

I completed my diploma in electronic. shall i can lateral entry to 2year in electrical engg degree

Hi,

It is always good if you go for graduation ,I mean B.Tech. Then your career opportunities are going to be wider. You can get good designations with B.Tech which is not possible with regular Diploma.

Other than B.Tech, you can opt for any Job.

ISRO
DRDO
NTPC
ONGC

These are public service firms which recruit diploma holders.

graduation or bacheler s degree is required for an ias exam
by the way, u can go for btech now after diploma
or go for a jr engineer job and do further studies by aime ,,,,,,,

After completion of diploma in electronics engineering you can go for B.tech/BE course.

For that you have to appear in lateral entry exams like- Polytechnic, JELET..

After qualifying in any of these exam you can take admission in 2nd year of BE/B.tech course ..

You can also go for jobs after completion of diploma in electronics engineering..

You can apply for PSU sectors like-

1.ECIL

2.BEL

3.BHEL

4.SAIL

5.Power grid

6.RRB

you can apply for any of this job..

is the diploma in elex engg is equivalent to B.Sc.? vinit

dear sir i'm from belgaum,
doing diploma in e&c engg. i really dont have any idea what i should do after my diploma..
should i go for BE..?
will my knowledge took in diploma will be enough to do BE..?
and if u have any knowledge about enggineering collages in belgaum then pls let me know which will be goood for a average 80-85% distinction student...

Diploma is taken as equivalent to BSc as qualifiactions for many jobs then why diploma holders are not eligible for Civil Services?

Diploma holders must do degree and simultaneously study 11th and 12th Ncerts all subjects to prepare well for IAS examination

Diploma is equivalent to BSC in private sector not in govt. So do degree and study 11th and 12th all subjects also to give this examination
