sir i want to know that after doing b.tech from civil can i do any course in marine engineering..????
what are the courses and how to apply for them..???
what are the expected jobs that i can get and the expected salary range for that..???
can i get phone no.of any expert for further information about it...??
what are the good colleges available in india for doing the marine courses....i mean the top colleges of india for theses courses...?????

Dear friend,

You are surely eligible for pursuing marine engineering, but at this stage where you are already a civil engineer it won't be a good decision to switch to marine from civil.

If you really want to go for marine engineering now, you have to study this course for another four years, which means your B.Tech (Civil) degree will be of no value.

Only mechanical engineers can join this field of merchant navy or marine engineering in the post of fifth grade assistant engineers.

Personally I would like to suggest you not to go after marine after graduation in civil. As this would be a real loss of your four years graduation course.

Of course this course promises you of very high salary or pay scale and you can join the private ships and decks as marine engineer.

sir don't change you track. if you are go civil line then be go it and do master degree go it don't opt for marine . yes marine is good and pays a handsome salary but civil today is not at all less in demand. . .

for marine sit for gate entrance exam and according to you ranking you will be getting institute.
