What is the course duration of PhD Mathematics?

What is the minimum duration for completing a Ph.D. in Mathematics? Can one go for Ph.D. in Mathematics after completing M.Sc. (Mathematics) from Private mode?

Default Re: What is the course duration of PhD Mathematics?

Minimum duration of Ph.D. Mathematics is 3 years. However, it may increase to 5 years if you are pursuing it externally.

To get admission into Ph.D. programme, you need to qualify Entrance test followed by Interview. You may have to appear for entrance exams like CSIR-UGC NET for JRF, UGC-NET for JRF, University's own Ph.D. entrance exams, etc.

Yes, you can pursue Ph.D. Mathematics even if you have completed M.Sc. Mathematics from Private mode (Correspondence or Distance mode).
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
