Since you have already completed your B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering and you interested in Geology you can take up M.tech with a specialization in Geology or Geophysics.

Geophysics and Geology are two subjects which are related to the geological factors and the physics related to it.

For M.Tech you need to apply for GATE examination which is held every year.

The eligibility criteria are-

The candidates should have a B.Tech or B.E degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
There is no minimum marks or percentage that is required for applying.
Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.
There is no age limitation.

After clearing the GATE exam as per your GATE rank card you can apply for M.Tech in Geology or Geophysics from any university.

After completion of B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering, you can't do any geology course.

But you can do Ph.D course in GIS.

So you can try to published some good journal related to geology subject.
