What is the criteria for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)?


Sir, I am school Lecturer in Rajasthan. I am promoted to the post of Lecturer after 40 years. My son is entitled for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) reservation or not? Could you please clarify?

Economically weaker section in India is the subcategory of people belonging to the general category having a annual family income less than Rs. 8 lakhs & who actually do not belong to any category such as SC/ ST/ OBC. EWS certificate can be used to avail 10% for higher education all over India & government jobs.
