In order to become IAS Officer, one should have to crack civil services examination.
This Exam is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year. This is the common written exam to be placed in various civil services like -Indian Administrative Service -Indian Police Service -Indian Foreign Service -Indian Revenue Service etc. The complete selection procedure to be placed in various civil services is by -Civil Services Aptitude Test -Civil Services Main Examination -Interview. Here is the required eligibility criteria to be placed in various civil services. Academic Qualification : -One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. -Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of Graduation course can also apply for this exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview. Age criteria : -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this exam. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category. IAS stands for Indian Adminstration Service. This exam conducted by the union public service commission every year. The civil service examination conducted the IAS, IPS, IES, IFS etc. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Nationality: The candidate should be citizen of india. Educational Qualification: The candidate should be completed the graduation from any recognized university. There is no minimum percentage required to eligible for this exam. The final year candidates are also eligible for this exam. Age limit: The age limit should be between 21 to 30 years. 3 years age relaxation for the obc candidates. 5 years age relaxation for the sc/st candidates. Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible for this exam. No. Of attempts: 4 attempts for the general category. 7 attempts for the obc category there is no limit of attempts for the sc/st categories. Physical standard: The candidate should have physically and medically fit for this exam. IAS - INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE, to become an IAS officer you have to apply and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
As you are doing Graduation so after completion of which you can apply for Civil Service exam. Any graduate from any discipline from a recognised University can apply for this exam. Apart from this you must be an Indian National within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years. The selection for Civil Services exam are of three phases:- CSAT-CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST-PRELIMINARY EXAM CIVIL SERVICE MAIN EXAM PERSONAL INTERVIEW This exam is very tough and competitive one so you must seriously prepare for the Civil Service exam at least one year before you sit for the exam. IAS means INDIAN ADMINISTRATION ADMINISTRATION this exam is conducted by the UPSC one time in a year.The following shows the eligibility criteria for IAS exam.
