dear friend
The honours degree generally requires a higher academic standard than a general degree. Honours degree is given when a student who either complete an extra year of college. So, the honours degree is seen as the higher qualification......... |

Dear friend,
Here I discuss the difference between a degree and Honors degree: An honors degree generally requires a higher academic standard than a pass degree. Traditionally, a three-year degree is also called a pass degree or general degree, where there is no specialisation on a particular subject. Students can take a bachelor's degree with Honors in a particular subject or a pass degree without any Honors. The degree colleges and universities all over India provide students bachelor's degree in pass course or Honors course in Arts,Science, and Commerce named as BA,B.Sc,B.Com. If they are taken with an Honors then are named as B.A(hons),B.Sc(hons),B.Com(hons). Hope you have cleared your doubt. Good Luck! |

Hello friend,
The term Honors refers to specialisation in a particular field. During the bachelors programme, if any indivudual wants to specialize in a particular area, like accountancy/economics/english etc., he/she will pursue B.Com/B.A/B.Sc with honors in any particular subject. The eligibility to qualify for honors is always a higher percentage of marks in the particular subject and in aggregate too. |

hello friend
honors is basically specialisation of a perticular subject/course/or paper. if you can hons in a particular subject(like physics, chemistry, zoology etc) then only you are allow to do higher study like masterate,or Btech. but degree of a particular course is devided into two parts 1.honors. 2.pass. all the best....... |

Hi!
Honours in BSc.(hons) means that you have specialized in a particular science subject. Regarding difference between degree & honours, the right question should be what is the difference between a pass degree & a general degree. It doesn't matter whether you are pursuing a pass graduate course or honours graduate course you will get a bachelor's degree in both the cases. But If you are pursuing a honours degree course then it means that you are specialising in a particular subject & that you posses a higher academic standard than a pass degree. |

bsc honours degree is given to those students who are having higher academic qualifications. And all other students will get normal bsc degree. So bsc hons is for higher qualification.

The basic difference between a degree and honors is that in honors you are specialized in particular subject and you have in depth knowledge of subject and you have to study only a single subject whereas in degree you have to study two subjects.
That's all |

dear friend,
really you have asked a very good question, here. there is no too much difference between the degree and the honors.generally you can term the 3 year course after 12th as a degree, and also the UGC make a prestigious name for it that it will be also called hons, |

A hons. degree means that a student has cleared all the subject in his degree in first attempt. And if you got a simple degree then it means that you were having back in your past.

BSc. (hons) just give you self-confidence and extend your expectation of opportunities in job market and
only BSc. will tell you that, oh look mate you could not finish degree with (Hons) then how can you finish all your actual job duties in life. Don't worry be optimistic in Life, look what you learn from BSc. degree. develop, expand & turn that to opportunity. and set an example, and move in life. we are a human not robot. love what you do, success is not permanent for anyone. life is challenging for every second. at the end of the day is all about Money, status & name. if you get BSc.( Hons) u can claim for good salary which lead to luxury life or many other activities . & only BSc. then less chances. but its not written in any book. be strong guys. time makes the difference. |
