Re: What does HTTP and HTTPS mean in internet browsing? What are the differences
Hi dear..
The basic difference between the two is just of making you secure. HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transport Protocol . It is actually a set of Instructions which are followed by computers and servers to connect. Whereas when 's' in https stans for secure. So , whenever you are visiting a site with http it simply means you are on an unsecure networking stage. Let's take an example If I am entering some details on a website with http , anyone can see the conversation between my computer and the server. SO , while we all enter our credit card details in https , so that computer connects with server with a coded language that cannot be seen by anyone. I hope now you got clear about the concept |
