"RCC grad 20M" is the Indian standard term used in Concrete mixing design in Civil Engineering. Basically RCC stands for Reinforced Concrete Cement.
RCC Grade 20M indicate as under: Specified minimum strength of 20 N/Sq mm, For cement, you have to refer table no. 5 of IS:456-2000 Also the above coding give an idea of durability requirement and work ability. |

According to the Indian standard, M15, M20, M30 etc. are grade designations.
It means a 150 mm cube cast from the concrete mix designed for the number mentioned is supposed to attain at least that many N/mm˛ at the end of 28 days. For example, M20 concrete is supposed to have a compressive strength of at least 20 N/mm˛, 28 days after casting. |
