Sir, I'm 39 years old. I want to become a government college or school teacher. So, for this what should be our minimum educational qualification? And, is there any entrance test? From where can I come to know about vacancies in government schools or colleges?

To become teacher in government colleges you have to appear and qualify in the SET or NET examination.

Candidates after qualifying in the examination will become eligible for recruitment as a lecturer in government college.

The minimum required qualification to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed master degree from a recognised university with minimum 55% aggregate. There is no age limit to appear for the examination.

So, candidates with above qualification are eligible to appear for the examination.

For recruitment as teacher in government college candidates have to appear and qualify in the CTET or TET.

If you want to become a lecturer in college then you will have to appear and qualify in NET or SET but for recruitment as teacher in government college you will have to appear and qualify in CTET.
