I have completed my B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. Now, can I do M.Sc in Mathematics from IGNOU? If yes, then what is application procedure? Admission charges and annual fees structure? What is the course structure of M.Sc Mathematics offered by IGNOU?

First thing I would like to mention here is that instead of simply M.Sc. in Mathematics degree course IGNOU offers M.Sc. (Mathematics with Applications in Computer Science) and for pursuing the same degree course the minimum education required is Graduation from a recognised University/Institution with a Major, or Honours in Mathematics with at least 50% marks in aggregrate.

Further, if seat remains vacant, Graduates with BA./BSc degree with Mathematics as one of the three main subjects with equal weightage, securing at least 50 percent marks in aggregate and 55 percent in Mathematics will be considered.

So, being B.Tech in Electrical Engineering degree holder, you can pursue M.Sc. in Mathematics degree course offered at IGNOU only if you have Mathematics as a paper throughout your B.Tech degree course.
