I have completed my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Can you please tell me for my eligibility to do M.Sc in Mathematics from IGNOU through Distance Learning? I have studied Engineering Mathematics during my B.Tech.

You have completed B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering so you are eligible get admission in Masters degree in Mathematics from IGNOU.

If you have passed 300 marks in mathematics then you are eligible to get admission in masters degree in Mathematics. But you can not do regular course.

IGNOU conducted a entrance exam for admission in masters degree in Mathematics and maximum question are related to B.Sc degree. So you can prepared well on B.Sc in mathematics syllabus.

Sorry you are not eligible for MSc. Maths after BTech, even though you have learned maths in first year. You may go for BSc. maths first and then only Msc Maths. But this education path is really tiresome and nullifies your BTEch degree. But if you have real passion you may pursue.

Yes karnataka state open university provides this opportunity to persue msc maths for b.e b.tech go for it
