Re: What is the eligibility to apply for bank clerical exam
There has been some changes made in the IBPS Clerk exam lately. Earlier the interested candidates were required to have minimum qualification of 12th to appear for the IBPS Clerk Exam. But from now onwards, only graduates can apply for it.
The decision was taken because Public Sector banks, that participates in the Clerk exam requested Institute of Banking Personnel Services to made this change. Therefore if you have a graduation degree, only then you can apply for the IBPS Clerk Exam. The IBPS has not made it mandatory to have any specific bachelor degree. Therefore you are eligible to apply for IBPS Clerk exam after completing any graduation course. The Clerk exam is conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Services, two times in a year. The next exam is due later in this month, but you won't be able to register for it now. Next time the IBPS Clerk would take place somewhere in March/April of 2013. Eligibility Criteria 1. You should be of Indian origin to apply. 2. Minimum of bachelor degree to apply for exam. 3. There is no criteria for minimum percentage. 4. A diploma or degree in Computers is also mandatory. Candidates can also apply if they had Computers/IT as one of the subjects in college or high school. 5. The age limit is 20 to 28 years. The reserve category students are given relaxation in upper age limit. Other Backward Class - three years. Schedule Caste/Tribe - Five years. Person with Disabilities - ten years. |
