sir i already completed my diploma in ec with 77%. and iam searching for a good govt job.....is ec really have any scope in govt sector...which which jobs we can get with the help of this ec branch....can we get any jobs in ISRO.....pls tell me the govt companies which we can join on our diploma basis.....

Sir Please say me Government jobs i completed diploma with aggregate of 75%. now i also completed BE but having arrears. Frankly there isn't a very good scope for diploma holders government sector as well the private sector. There are jobs available but will not a good pay and very little scope of promotion.

Generally the job in government sector will come in Public Sector Undertaking. These are government owned companies that are dedicated in different fields. It also includes ISRO. Not just ISRO, the fact is that most PSU hires diploma holders but as I mentioned earlier the salary and promotion scope will be very limited.

Things can change dramatically if you decides to complete Bachelor of Technology. It is recommended that you should do B.Tech after diploma. It will improve your chances of regular promotions and better pay.

If you decides to complete Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications, it will also allow you to appear for the Indian Engineering Service entrance exam. If you managed to get a job through IES, it will be awesome for you.

Since you are diploma holders, it is possible to take admission directly in the second year of B.Tech. The process is called Lateral Entry Admission. You can take admission by appearing for the Lateral Entry Engineering Test.

However to appear for LEET entrance exam your percentage in diploma should be at least 60 percent. Since you completed with 77% appearing for LEET is possible.

It is also possible that some college may give you direct admission without having to appear for the entrance exam. I will recommend that you complete Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications. It is one of the best streams of Engineering with great job scope.

After completing the course it is upto you to whether apply for job in Public Sector Undertakings or appear for the Indian Engineering Service entrance exam.

To apply for PSU, you will need to score at least 60 percent marks in Bachelor of Technology however for Indian Engineering Service, there is no percentage criteria.
