There are more than 2000 vacancies announced by several PSU banks every year for different posts. Some of the the jobs that are available in this sector are:
Clerical Positions

These are the front staff of banks that deal directly to the customers.They are placed at counters.
Eligibility for it:

1. The minimum age 18 years and the maximum age limit is 28 years.
2. Graduates with minimum 40%-60% marks are eligible with 60% marks in 12th. This criteria is different for different banks.

This written examination for this post is objective in nature consisting of four papers:

1. Test of reasoning ability and numerical aptitude

Eligibility for writing written test for this post is:

If you want jobs in banking sector then I would recommend appearing for the IBPS Clerk or IBPS Bank PO entrance exam. IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Services. It is a 40 years old organization which is responsible for conducting these 2 entrance exams.

The exams are conducted for jobs in Public sector banks. A total of 19 Public Sector Banks accepts the IBPS Clerk and Bank PO Exam. Depending on the vacancy, you can apply for job in one of the following banks after clearing the exam.




IBPS Clerk Eligibility

1. Only citizens of India can apply.

2. A graduation degree from a recognized university.

3. Diploma/degree in computers or must have Computers/IT in high school or college.

4. The age limit for IBPS Clerk is 20 to 28 years.

5. The age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC.

6. Age limit for SC/ST is relaxed by 5 years.

7. There is 10 years relaxation for Person with disability.



IBPS Bank PO Eligibility

1. Candidate should be Indian national.
