What kinds of job will I get after Graduating in Physics? And how much salary should I expect? I am doing B.Sc in Physics right now. Also is it of any help if I do Honours in English from distance education programme?

After pursuing B.Sc. Physics, you can get Govt. jobs as well as Private Jobs.

Central and State government conduct exams for bachelor graduates to get jobs in Government Sector. After qualifying those exams or tests, you can get jobs in organizations like:

• Union Public Service Commission
• Staff selection commission
• Indian Forest Services
• Public sector Bank
• State PCS
• Indian Defense services etc.

To get jobs in Central Govt, you must appear for exams conducted by UPSC, SSC like Civil Services Exam. In this way, you can get jobs to prestigious posts like IAS, IFS, IPS, etc. Such posts include:

• Custom Officers
• Tax Assistant
• Statistical Investigator
• Revenue Officers

There are a large opportunities of jobs in Railways too. You can appear for RRB Exams conducted at regular intervals.

After pursuing English Honours course, you can get teaching job easily in institutions, colleges.

will it increase my preference ,if I graduate in english through distant education, at the same time while iam graduating in physics.
